In the fast-changing world of search, generative AI is rewriting the rules—and your old SEO playbook won’t cut it. In this episode of Leader Generation, guest host Patty Parobek teams up with Mod Op’s Gareth Cunningham and Maurice White to decode Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and the strategies that will keep your brand visible when AI-driven search takes the lead. Using the iconic “Periodic Table of SEO Elements” as their guide, they reveal what’s still relevant, what’s rising in importance, and what you can skip in the AI era.
You’ll hear practical tips on how to structure your content so both search engines and AI tools can understand it, build brand authority that goes beyond backlinks, and make sure your technical foundations are strong before adding GEO tactics. The conversation focuses on a balanced, long-term approach—starting with the changes that will have the biggest impact, avoiding overwhelm and combining SEO with PR, brandin,g and other marketing efforts. Whether you’re just beginning to explore GEO or looking to refine your strategy, this episode delivers expert guidance on navigating the shift toward a semantic, AI-powered web. GEO isn’t a sprint, but a marathon. Making smart, sustainable moves today can keep your brand visible well into the future.

Deborah Fell shares, “In healthcare, some of the most impactful organizations work quietly behind the scenes, touching countless lives without widespread recognition. MTF Biologics, led by CEO Joe Yaccarino, is one such organization. Their work in tissue donation and medical biologics represents a profound cycle of hope – where end-of-life decisions become new beginnings for others. As someone who has witnessed the fragility of health through my late husband’s battle with MS, I deeply appreciate how medical innovations can transform lives. But today’s story isn’t about personal loss – it’s about an organization that bridges tragedy and hope, connecting donor families’ selfless decisions with surgical teams delivering life-changing outcomes.” From the engineers developing cutting-edge processes to the recipients gaining renewed possibilities, MTF Biologics demonstrates how healthcare innovation can honor one life while healing another. Join us as we explore their remarkable mission and impact.

Last week, we began our conversation with Cynthia Luvlee, CEO and Founding Board Member of Shyne. If you missed that episode, I encourage you to go back and listen as we discussed the economic challenges facing vulnerable communities and how innovative organizations are responding. This episode continues that important conversation by exploring Shyne’s revolutionary approach to supporting survivors of trafficking and exploitation. Cynthia and her unstoppable team of dedicated volunteers and employees work tirelessly to provide survivor entrepreneurs with access to small business support, mentorship, coaching, education, and capital. They envision a new economy where survivor business owners network to maximize impact and accelerate innovative solutions. By generating equity and shifting power, they believe financial independence and freedom for all survivors are possible.

In this second part of our conversation, Cynthia shares how Shyne has reimagined support services by focusing on purpose, dignity, and entrepreneurship rather than traditional “rescue” models. We’ll explore how building ongoing relationships and responsive programming has created a sustainable community where survivors design their own paths to success.

This week, Laura Carabello, Principal Owner and Chief Creative Officer of CPR Strategic Marketing Communications, joins The Granite List. Live to discuss recent trends in benefit communications and publishing. Specifically, Sally and Laura dive into the importance of content creation, the evolving role of AI in communications, and the impact of private equity in the industry. In a costly and complex healthcare landscape, Laura emphasizes the importance of having an effective, patient-centric communications strategy for your plan.

Deacon Brett had a warm message on Sunday. When we de-center ourselves and re-center God, that’s when life becomes exciting and unpredictable and full of purpose — because God is exciting and unpredictable and purposeful. It’s liberating when we discover this! And it is a reminder that, at the end of the day, when our time comes, the most essential thing that can be said about us is, “Here was a child of God, who was loved by God.” Way better than saying, “Here was a person who scrolled well and had tons of likes by strangers.”

We hope you enjoy this playlist of our favorite episodes of the week.
