AI isn’t just changing marketing tools—it’s changing how leaders think about strategy, value and growth. In this episode, Tessa Burg talks with Mariano Bosaz, author of Digital Mindset: Marketing Strategies for the AI Era, about what it really takes to lead through transformation without losing what already works. You’ll hear a practical way to think about “digital mindset” as a bridge, not a replacement, for how businesses operate today. Mariano explains why companies need both analog and digital approaches, how AI is accelerating productivity (and making prioritization harder) and what leaders can do to support teams through the shift. He also breaks down the difference between engagement and involvement—and why involvement is where brands build real equity. If you’re trying to make sense of AI’s impact on work, marketing, and competitive advantage, this conversation provides a clearer framework. It’s full of real examples and down-to-earth guidance on how to move faster, make smarter choices and create value that’s difficult for competitors to copy.
While editing an episode of Leader Generation, I heard something that stopped me mid-cut. The guest — Mariano Bosaz, VP of Global Consumer Strategy at Coca-Cola and author of The Digital Mindset — had dreamed of becoming an ambassador for a country. Official title, formal post, the works. It didn’t happen. (Turns out without a family diplomat connection, they just send you somewhere terrible when you’re old to make photocopies.) But what did happen? Eighteen years at Coca-Cola, three continents, 92 countries, building bridges between people, technology, and culture. He became an ambassador. Just not the one he’d imagined. That got me thinking about my own story. My son Austin asked me what I wanted to be when I was young — like, little-kid young. I told him the truth: a teacher and a children’s author. Neither happened the way I’d pictured it at 12, 15, or 22. I did both things. I just didn’t recognize them because they didn’t arrive in the packaging I expected. In this short episode, I want to push back on the idea that unrealized dreams are failed dreams. They’re rarely that literal. They’re pointing at something — a drive, a value, a way of moving through the world. Those don’t expire.
In today’s spontaneous episode of Market Dominance Guys, Chris Beall ambushes (his words, not mine) an extraordinary cold-calling talent: Josh Bowyer, CEO and co-founder of Zint Technology. What unfolds is a masterclass in the art of cold-calling performance, authenticity, and the delicate dance between manufactured delivery and genuine belief. Josh shares how he’s booked over 100 meetings in just 4.5 weeks using ConnectAndSell, but the real gold is in his insights about perfecting his cold call ‘performance’ over thousands of iterations while maintaining authentic curiosity. As he puts it, the key is simple: ‘Just don’t sound like a dick in the first 7 seconds.’ From discussing the impact of AI on sales to exploring the critical balance between scripted performance and genuine belief, this conversation reveals why top performers like Josh can consistently convert cold calls into meetings. Chris and Josh dive deep into how the best cold callers combine theatrical precision with sincere conviction that they offer real value.
What does a wet diaper, an empty sippy cup, and a blanket in a backseat have to do with a warehouse full of hope? Everything. Susan Finch sits down with Stacy DeWitt, Executive Director of James Storehouse in Newbury Park, California — and it turns out they’ve been serving the same kids all along. The connection? Carolyn Berndt, one of Binky Patrol’s All Volunteer – All Heart directors, who also works with Stacy at James Storehouse. “The number one comfort item — from toddlers to teenagers — no matter the season, is a handmade blanket.” — Stacy DeWitt Stacy shares the raw, real story of how a year of prayer and fasting led her to foster care — and how one phone call from a police officer, one three-year-old in a wet diaper, and one blanket from the backseat of her car became the spark that launched James Storehouse in 2014. “Some of the kids have never celebrated their birthday in their entire life, and they’re 22 years old.” — Stacy DeWitt

Today’s conversation on What’s Your Edge explores how a lean process improvement initiative, originally launched to address patient complaints about long wait times, evolved into something much more: a deeply embedded customer-centric culture grounded in customer value and customer-centricy, and a move away from random acts of efficiency toward a systematic, measurable approach to customer experience. Stephanie Collins, CEO of Austin Retina, a practice that has been serving patients since 1979, joins us today as our guest for What’s Your Edge. Stephanie has been with the organization for 25 years, rising through the ranks to lead the practice through significant growth. The practice has grown from a single provider to 19 physicians and nearly 300 employees. And recently, it became a part of Cencora, a global leader in pharmaceutical and medical supply distribution. Stephanie, I’m looking forward to learning how Austin Retina reframed time as a critical dimension of value, how you operationalized customer-centricity, and how you measure the impact of customer value on growth, loyalty, and performance.
Father Bill illustrated trust with a $1, $5 and $20 bill. We all have or will have trouble in our lives. Through it all, the key is to surrender to God and let Him take control. To be addicted to our own self-will is a tyranny that enslaves us — the only rescue from it is to trust God, trust Jesus, and let Him take care of it. Identify the most pressing thing that keeps you afraid from trusting God and His providence in your life, and ask God to take control while you surrender yourself to Him (the Surrender Novena is a great tool to help you in this).
